Oak Hill Collaborative hosted its first graduation in the Ashtabula Community Technology Action Center to celebrate 10 county residents completing its Hardware 4 Homes program.
The residents, who completed five computer skills classes with OHC, will earn a free refurbished laptop, accompanying charger, mouse and mousepad, and a certificate of completion.
Each laptop is additionally equipped with the Microsoft Office Suite.
The graduation was Friday, March 14 at 1 p.m. before a computer class on Chat GPT and AI.

Antoinette Jackson, an OHC digital navigator, said excitement for the next cohort has already spread across the community.
“The classes have been great. People have been coming ready to learn and take notes, with plenty of questions. We didn’t expect such an immediate response from the community, but clearly there is a need, and we are more than happy to fill it,” Jackson said.
The next round of classes for the Hardware 4 Homes program will begin on March 19. Space is limited and pre-registration is required for participants.
Classes are hosted every Wednesday and Friday at 1 p.m. in the Center, located at 4366 Main Avenue, beside the Huntington Bank.
