Youngstown, Ohio — Summer is heating up with tons of events, workshops, and learning opportunities at the Oak Hill Collaborative, with our youth programming set to start on July 14th.
OHC’s Learn, Code, Create with Raspberry Pi Program allows local youth to learn the basics of computer programming and introductory coding skills for free that can be applied later in STEM development.
OHC will be providing the Raspberry Pi CanaKits for free, thanks to area funders such as the Raymond John Wean Foundation.
The six classes are hands-on and packed with video game-like fun for children in grades 5th – 9th. We recommend this summer program highly for kids who enjoy working with computers, web design and development, computer engineering, and other technology.
The program will be held every Monday and Wednesday, starting on July 14th at 3 p.m. and go for three weeks. Additionally, children who fully complete all six classes earn and go home with the Raspberry Pi CanaKit they’ve worked on for free.
The program is currently accepting youth to participate in the July Program. Space is limited and pre-registration by a parent or guardian is required.
