Oak Hill Collaborative is proud to share that we will host two new Digital Learning Centers in partnership with TMHA, at McKinley Towers in Niles and North View Apartments in Girard.
OHC will provide weekly workshops at both locations for TMHA residents. These locations will open in mid-October with the Girard location beginning classes on Oct. 16. Niles will begin the following week on Oct. 21.
The Niles location will be hosted every Monday, and Girard will be every Wednesday. As of right now, OHC has scheduled classes through November with TMHA.
Patrick Kerrigan, Executive Director of Oak Hill Collaborative, said the organization is excited to promote further digital inclusion.
“We are thrilled to expand our work in Trumbull County, particularly with residents that have greater needs,” Kerrigan said.
Through OHC’s Warren-Trumbull Digital Advantage, it will continue to provide much needed education services across the Mahoning Valley and expand to areas of need such as TMHA.
Both locations will start with OHC’s core classes — Laptop 101, Email Basics, Get Going with Google, and Internet Safety.
Sarah Russell, OHC’s Assistant Director, said these classes are open to residents of any learning level.
“As a resident of TMHA we encourage you to attend these afternoon sessions; however, you do have to be a TMHA resident,” Russell said. “We travel with at least eight laptops to service anyone who attends, along with any optional accessories someone may need like a mouse, mobile Wi-Fi, or anything else you can think of.”
Anyone interested in more information can contact OHC’s main office at (330) 406-0731.
