Celebra con Oak Hill Collaborative

Oak Hill Collaborative celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Phelps this past Sunday in downtown Youngstown for the first time.

In partnership with Thrive Mahoning Valley, the City of Youngstown and Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de Youngstown Ohio and other sponsors, Oak Hill Collaborative hosted a table with interactive activities set up from 1 to 7 p.m.

Our digital navigators Sarah Russell and Terri Singleton didn’t let the rain wash them out, and hosted a table with a matching English to Spanish activity, treats and more.

The pair also shared information on our all-Spanish, two hour courses we teach at Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana, Inc.

The cultural celebration also featured a variety of arts and crafts, food, music and more for the community.
