35 Graduate from Hardware 4 Homes Program

Oak Hill Collaborative was gifted a donation of 50 refurbished laptops from AT&T and Human-IT to assist residents across the Mahoning Valley. Of this donation, 35 were provided to graduates of OHC’s Hardware 4 Homes Program in a celebration on Nov. 12 at OHC’s Main Branch.

Graduates had satisfactorily completed 8 different introductory computer classes with OHC to qualify to receive a free, refurbished laptop.

“AT&T is committed to connecting people to greater possibilities in Ohio and across the country. It’s what we do. So, we’re excited to work with Human I-T to provide these 50 laptops and open a world of opportunities for students who need them at Oak Hill Collaborative,” said Tony Costanzo, Director of External and Legislative Affairs, AT&T Ohio, who celebrated with the graduates. “We can’t wait to learn how the students at Oak Hill use them to improve their lives. And we know they will, because Connecting Changes Everything.”

These laptops are a first for many residents. For Panzy Bozanich, pictured above, this was her first. “I’ve had iPads, but this is actually my first laptop” Bozanich told The Vindicator.

In the eight, she learned Microsoft programs and applications such as Excel, as well as Milanote.
