About P3 (PURPOSE, PLAN, POWER)
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational components, such as mentoring, financial planning, and life skills that foster essential development for life to at risk youth. What separates P3 from other organizations is the fact that we not only provide experiences for the moment, but also purposeful guidance for our young people. Our sole purpose is to help prepare our youth for their futures, with necessary building blocks that will last a lifetime.
We are dedicated to educating, sustaining, and empowering our area youth to become enduring assets within their own community.
Our programs include:
P3 provides our youth with mentors and mentored opportunities to explore and understand the career interests available in today’s workplace with access to professionals and professional resources.
Financial Management & Planning
P3 provides educational opportunities and guidance on banking, savings, credit, and financial literacy. These are all keys to well-being at home or in a career.
Essential Life Skills
P3 understands that individual lifestyles will require skills that are not always taught or easily learned, so we plan to promote life skills learning. How to prepare healthy meals, how to clean and maintain a home or apartment, how to take care of a car, or even something as simple as how to sew a button on a shirt are all necessities needed to function smoothly on a daily basis.
P3 knows the value of development and growth, therefore, our youth participants gain contacts to create their own professional networking system. Having positive feedback in a professional environment keeps our kids on the right path to create caring, empathetic, consistent, and long-lasting relationships, often with some combination of role modeling, teaching, and advising that can last a lifetime.
Collegiate Exploratory & Academic Acceleration
P3 explores various post secondary options for our participating youth, including college tours and informational assets and works toward teaching young people and their families to create an environment that supports, advocates for, and values academic awareness in their everyday surroundings.
